Transport 2000's headquarters serve the region of Ottawa, Ontario and
Gatineau, Quebec. Not only does Transport 2000 have access to the
political life of Canada, it is located in the nation's fourth largest
urban population.
March 2008 - latest Ottawa transit plan
Four transit options, all involving a downtown tunnel, were recently
laid out by the City of Ottawa. A key issue is the balance between
rail and bus transit - will high levels of bus service continue to
be appropriate in the downtown core?
Public comment is invited on the proposals - the city has set a deadline
of 31 March 2008.
