Chers amis J'ai le triste devoir de vous annoncer le décès de Guy Chartrand, a Montréal jeudi le 27 juin. Sa femme Diana nous a laissé un message ce soir, - nous avons appris la nouvelle en retournant l'appel. Guy était aux soins intensifs; les medecins n'ont pas réussi à le sauver du cancer qui le rongeait. Nous allons pouvoir communiquer davantage demain vendredi, mais en attendant, nous pleurons le départ d'un ami et nous saluons le passage de l'un des figures les plus marquants du domaine des transports des vingt dernières années.

I have the sad duty of passing on the word of Guy Chartrand's death in hospital in Montréal this afternoon. Guy's wife, Diana, will inform us of more details, including funeral arrangements, tomorrow and I shall communicate same when available. In the meantime we have lost a great friend and one of the most prominent figures in the field of transport in the country.

Diana Chartrand advises us that the funeral service for Guy will be at the Ste-Rose de Lima RC church at 300 boulevard Perrot, ILE PERROT, Québec at 11 am Wednesday July 3rd.

Visitation will be at the Urgel Bourgie Funeral Home in Verdun, Qué. at 1750, rue Notre-Dame LACHINE, (Montréal) Québec from 2 to 5 pm and 7 to 10 pm Monday and Tuesday and Wednesday 9 to 10:30 am.

Donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or to the Verdun Hospital Foundation.
